  • As blogger broadcast whatever you’re doing to the whole world, it will disclose whatever you have posted and others will be able to see what you have written. As you start texting all sorts of things to the service, only to later realize that you have shared some personal information that they shouldn’t have.
  • If your account is hacked, other people may think you are posting things that you aren’t. All of your followers will see the post, and if there’s a link, others may visit that site, not knowing that it’s not legitimate. Depending on the nature of the post, it could hurt your relationship with anyone who follows you.
  • Strangers will be able to track you down based on the information you have posted online.
  • The stranger online that contacts with you may look nice and friendly but in fact, he/she may be a bad person with bad motives.

Case of Cyberbullying..

Jodi Plumb, 15, from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, was horrified to discover an entire blog had been created to insult and threaten her.
The blog contained abuse concerning her weight and even had a date for her "death".
Jodi's mother has called for tougher action by her school against bullies.
The school, Queen Elizabeth School, has defended itself, saying it has a well-defined anti-bullying policy.
Jodi's family says there has been a two-year campaign of intimidation and she has twice been attacked in school.
Jodi found out about the website when a fellow pupil tried to take a photograph of her with a digital camera and said it was for the blog.
She said: "I was really hurt because I did not know who'd done it. I was just really upset."
Jodi's mother, Gail, felt the bullying had disrupted her daughter's education at a crucial time.
Bullying policy
She said: "I want Jodi to be able to go back to her GCSEs without any problems.
"Hopefully, any other children with problems can then come forward to speak because there is no use in suffering in silence."
Mrs Plumb was also concerned how little action the school had taken.
But head teacher Paul O'Brien rejected this, saying the school's anti-bullying efforts had been recognised in a recent Ofsted report.
The blog has now been removed.
